Quite modestly, photographer Lynette prefers to chat about her life-enriched journey with horses rather than elaborate upon her photography skills. For Lynette - horses spell passion and combining horses with photography is as natural to her as breathing. Her first camera was given to her at a very young age and, through the lens, taught her to see the world from a different perspective. For the past 10 years Lynette has offered stunning equine images to her customers by blending heartbeat, hoof beat and camera. “My photography isn’t about taking a pretty picture, it’s about freezing an unspeakable moment in time,” she explains, “It’s about instinct, feel, passion and capturing the essence of my subject, especially the horse.” Living a life long love affair with horses lends itself to the fact that she really knows her subjects.
Her chemistry with horses allows her to capture their true spirit through the lens of her camera. An avid rider, Lynette is familiar with the cadence and rhythm of the horse’s movement and her photos demonstrate their true athleticism. Lynette explains, “Catching the correct movement while photographing the horse is a very important aspect of my final presentation. I can count the beats and hear the hoof strikes in my mind. Using this knowledge helps me click the shutter at the perfect time.” She truly captures the beauty, movement, and elegance of these magnificent creatures.
Based in Wenatchee, Washington, Lynette prefers to take photos of her subjects in their familiar environments where poise comes with natural ease. Photography sessions can be arranged at a location of your choice; at home, the farm, competition or another unique locations. Standard business practice for private photo sessions includes a pre-plan meeting to discuss your photo needs and desire. This information - coupled with her eye for the horse create customized photographs for memories that will last a lifetime. She is a member of the Equine Photographers Network and the American Quarter Horse Association. Her photography Equine & other have been featured in local publications, advertising, commercial use and in a recently published book for Ohme Gardens. She is available to travel throughout the state of Washington, Oregon & Idaho for your photography needs.
